Music of the Week

In place of Artist of the Week, I’m posting about music. Though I do have a fav song this week—The Drumming Song by Florence +the Machine, its awesome!
I have been sooo into Club music the past few monthes. I mean the oomphf-oomphf-oomphf, dirty grinding, amped up, pumpin’ music that most foreign clubs have, and not nearly enough Americans. That could be because it’s the foreigners making such hot, underground, rare-mix music. I have been thinking, (Copyrighted idea) of finding an abandoned house or warehouse, buying some battery operated strobe lights (or a generator), multiple glo-sticks, a wacked-out pair of headphones, an iPad with connectable sound systems, and getting the party started! Apparently Jumping Jac wants to be the bouncer: she’ll be the one with the neck-gun! I can see it already; A small cover charge at the door, everyone lining up—and they would—dancing until 3 in the morning, then out to Mickey D’s! I’ve never been to a rave (or club :( ) and sorely want to. I’d be the one with the Afro and Gym shoes so I can dance for hours—high heels at a club are stupid and ridiculous, unless the ones wearing them want something else besides dancing…
I would love to get the DJ app for the iPad so I can start mixing my music like it already is in my head. I think its kind of a problem. I accidently mix two songs together, and when I play a song, expecting something different then what I’m actually hearing, I get so disappointed. And it’s the fact that I can hear different levels and sections of music and noticing that many other people don’t, that I found out that I am musically inclined, which translates to trying to find a way to mix my music. Soo, back to the subject, I would love to own this DJ app, but at $20 it better be Ah-mazing!
On to music, I like to move, so if the music is slow, it better have a bumpin, pelvis gyrating bass, like Innocence (Nero). I like Dubstep, Skillrex, remixes, and the like, but none of that happyface stuff, unless it’s Daft Punk, or techtonik (a genre). I like the dirty, hardcore (non-screaming), kind of dark stuff that gets in your face, while moving your bones, sometimes without you realizing it! Its up to you to figure out what your fav specific songs or groups are, but please do post it in the comments below, I love hearing new music. My fav songs right now are Boyz, the M.I.A./marchmellow mix; Baltimore Clap, by Benga (please watch the video); I Need Ya, a Riskotheque-Marchmellow mix, and (of course) another Nero song, Can’t Take It. Hopefully when I host my first party, my readers can come! Can you say 'discount'? :)

Caio for now!
